Margaret H. Vignocchi, P.E.
President

Mrs. Vignocchi is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois and Wisconsin with over 19 years experience in engineering design and construction services. As president and founder of Prinmar Corporation, Mrs. Vignocchi is responsible for all engineering design and related activities.

Mrs. Vignocchi is an active member with the Western Society of Engineers, the Society of Woman Engineers, and the American Water Works Association. Mrs. Vignocchi is the 1993 recipient of the Charles Ellet Award for the most outstanding engineer in Chicago, a 1993 recipient of the Society of Women Engineers Chicago Regional Service Award, and a 1990 recipient of the Western Society of Engineers Appreciation Award for Outstanding Service.

Recent Project Experience

  • METRA North Central Line Expansion, Des Plaines to Wheeling, IL – This project included earthwork, excavation, site utility installation, installation of pre-segmented retaining walls, and placement of sub-base ballast for approximately 4.5 miles of new rail road track next to an existing, active rail line
  • METRA North Central Line Expansion, Schiller Park to Lake Villa, IL – This project included earthwork, excavation, geo-textile installation, and placement of sub-base ballast for approximately 26 miles of new rail road track next to an existing, active rail line
  • Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago Stickney Plant Process Control Project, Stickney, IL – Design services included complete rehabilitation of primary treatment process for Distributed Control Systems and upgrades of controls, PLC’s, panels, power, wiring, and conduit.
  • City of Chicago Jardine Water Purification Plant Control Center Rehabilitation Project, Chicago, IL - Design services included complete remodeling and rehabilitation of the Control Center, upgrade of computer control systems, and new lighting system for the largest water filtration facility in the world.
  • Canal Water Pumping Station and Treatment Plant, Argonne National Laboratory, Argonne, IL – This project included project engineering and construction management services for electrical and mechanical rehabilitation of pumping; chemical, electrical, and instrumentation controls.

Guy Cummins
Vice President

Mr. Cummins has more than 20 years of progressive experience in the construction industry, principally serving in the supervisory and project management positions. As Vice President of Prinmar Corporation, Mr. Cummins is responsible for the client negotiation, design and construction phase of projects including compilation of budget estimates, value engineering, construction phase scheduling, client and subcontract negotiation, subcontract award and project administration.

Recent Project Experience

  • Highland Park Athletic Club, Highland Park, IL – This project included the conversion of approximately 25,000 sq. ft office area into a high end, cutting edge fitness facility for the Tennis Corporation of America.
  • Northwestern University, Benjamin A. Slivka Residence Hall, Evanston, IL-A state-of-the-art residence hall that will become the new home of the Residential College of Science and Engineering at their campus in Evanston, Illinois. This 60,110-sq. ft. four-story residence hall is built of precast concrete plank on CMU bearing walls. This 108-room residence hall encompasses apartment style suites, technology workshop rooms/laboratories, study lounge, seminar rooms, cyber café’ (coffeehouse gathering place with high-tech Internet connections), advisory offices, recreation room, and storage/mechanical rooms.
    Total cost $10.2M.
  • Gateway Centre Apartments, Chicago, IL - A ten story, 120 unit, cast-in-place concrete mid-rise structure for independent senior living with sweeping views of Lake Michigan. The project features administrative offices, resident lounge, exercise rooms, resident laundry, and lobby accessed elevators to maximize resident interaction. This project represented a major component of a 40 acre, $60 million community development program. Total cost $13.8M.
  • The British Home, Brookfield, IL - New 72,000 sq. ft., 69-unit assisted living facility is part of an expansion retirement campus in the Western Suburbs. Includes extensive work package, landscaping, new sewer, water, and storm and detention areas. Total cost $13.8M.
  • Great Falls Ladge, Niagara Falls, Canada - A three story, 398 unit, 377,000 sq. ft. lodge and premier water acctivity resort nestled in beautiful Niagara Falls, Canada. The project highlights include a four-story lobby entrance with hiking path and a four-story indoor water park. Total cost $36.9M.
